HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST MOBILE MASSAGE TREATMENT?

Similar to massage in a clinic, you should make sure you are comfortable, first and foremost. I will come with all the necessary paperwork and supplies needed for massage in your individual setting. Most of the time it is much more relaxed since we are in your space. If this is your first massage in general, I will go over all your paperwork and healthcare concerns and address your goals in mind. From there we come up together with your treatment specifically to meet your needs. We also go over consent as well. From then, after we are set up and ready to go, I will leave the room and wash my hands and allow you to get onto the table. Often, patients or clients are disrobed to their own comfort level and treated one area at a time as discussed in the intake while the rest of the body is draped. There are no right or wrong answers here. You are totally in charge and if something doesn't feel right, you can stop the massage at any point! Your safety is paramount. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER MY FIRST SESSION?

You can expect to feel amazing! Seriously though, as with any modality, massage is not without risks. That being said, massage is usually considered less likely to cause injury than most physical modalities and is a non-invasive procedure in most cases. Sometimes soreness happens after your first massage, and that is normal. Often times it is because the massage may have been too deep for you or too taxing on your system. Broken vessels and bruises, although uncommon, do occur. Most symptoms from treatment such as soreness and fatigue disappear after a day or two. Feel free to discuss any concerns you may have with me and together we can find a way to make massage accessible in most cases to you. Massage is not a treatment for a disease and will not cure anyone, but it can alleviate tension, improve range of motion, reduce healing times and soreness, and decrease hormonal levels. It can be helpful in treating many common ailments and could possibly reduce dependency on certain medications in some cases.

DO YOU OFFER DIRECT BILLING TO MY INSURANCE?

Currently, I am able to offer direct billing through most plans, depending on clinic location. I can direct bill plans such as Blue Cross, Greenshield and their associated insurers for mobile treatments. Otherwise, I am able to direct bill most of the insurers below IN CLINIC ONLY (Sunlife and TELUS Health Network). Otherwise, A receipt will be offered after your payment for self submission to your respective insurer.
